I haven't painted rocks like these before so I can't really help you. Do follow Agge's advice.
I don't know what style you're aiming for or who you're inspired by, but I think you can make the rocks look like rocks by making the brush strokes less noticeable. Right now, the strokes are similar to the way you painted the grass (ground) and because of that, they look soft. Also, already mentioned by Agge, you really need textures and even cracks. You can use a custom brush or a texture sheet. Along with those, some stronger highlights and shadows like in Journey to the Life Kingdom or in Anime-ish background study 2.
Looking at these old works, I think you're joking now because you can already paint rocks in an anime-ish style. Just spend a little more time.
